O2 Pay As You Use BlackBerry tariff for consumers

The O2 Pay As You Go BlackBerry service is available on all our recent Pay Monthly consumer voice tariffs. There is no line rental charge - you simply pay for the amount of data that travels over the network as you use it. BlackBerry data services are charged at £2.70 a megabyte (MB), including*:

Sending and receiving emails and opening attachments

Your BlackBerry lets you receive and send emails, open attachments and take and send photos as attachments to emails.

To make sure you get your emails quickly, your BlackBerry device is always in contact with the data network when it is switched on and enabled. This uses about 10KB a day and you are charged for this.

Surfing the web**

Web browsing with the BlackBerry browser - supported on all RIM devices and some non RIM manufactured (BlackBerry Connect) devices.

Getting route planning information and using satellite navigation services

You can download route planning information using BlackBerry Maps™or use satellite navigation services on compatible smartphones. Regular users of these services are advised to select our O2 Unlimited tariff.

* You will lose any inclusive data allowance you have with your O2 voice tariff when you add on a BlackBerry tariff. Additional charges apply if you use BlackBerry abroad.

** Some non RIM manufactured (BlackBerry Connect) devices do not support the BlackBerry browser. O2 Active (WAP) browsing, web browsing via O2 Mobile Web (used on some non-RIM manufactured devices) and using your BlackBerry enabled SIM as modem are charged at £1 per MB.

Minimum Period

Once you have selected to use the BlackBerry Internet Solution from O2 Pay As You Use you will not be able to opt out of this service within 1 month from the date on which it is first provided by O2, however if you elect to receive a subsidised BlackBerry device in conjunction with opting to use the BlackBerry Internet Solution from O2 Pay As You Use then you may be required to extend the Minimum Period of the SIM Card under your O2 voice contract.

Service Terms

Connection to a BlackBerry from O2 tariff is subject to status, credit checking and a minimum period contract. Standard pay monthly airtime terms apply (o2.co.uk/terms).

Integration of email accounts with the BlackBerry Internet Service is subject to your email service provider and/or company IT infrastructure and policy.

O2 reserves the right to upgrade and change the specification of the BlackBerry Internet Service at any time. This may entail, but is not limited to, changes to the web interface, rules around the maximum number of days that data will be retained and mailbox capacity.

To access the BlackBerry Internet Service from O2, you must have an enabled and compatible device.

Access to the BlackBerry Internet Solution is subject to network coverage.

Yahoo!® Messenger download and usage is charged at the BlackBerry from O2 Pay As You Use rate until further notice. O2 reserves the right to introduce charges for Yahoo!® Messenger and/or withdraw the use of Yahoo!® Messenger with 30 days notice. If you do not wish to pay for Yahoo!® Messenger, you may terminate your use of Yahoo!® Messenger but you will not be entitled to terminate your BlackBerry Internet Service contract.

All prices shown are for payment by Direct Debit. A different rate may apply if you are paying by another method.
